Resources (lookup lists)

A resource is a reusable list — customers, sites, part numbers — that a Choice field can pull its options from, instead of you typing options into every form.

Binding a choice field to a resource

Select a Choice field, set its options source to resource, then pick the resource and which column supplies the option text (and optionally a separate value column).

Cascading selects

Set Filter by field to make one Choice depend on another: pick a customer in field A and field B only offers that customer’s sites. You choose which resource column the filter matches against.

Note

Resources are static lists you manage in the app. Live SQL-backed resources — Device Magic’s dynamic resources — are not supported yet.
